"Nets for Nets" Fundraiser

Harry B. Thompson Middle School

On May 8, 2012, the Harry B. Thompson Middle School in Syosset, New York held its "Nets for Nets" Fundraiser. The fundraiser, sponsored by a local mentoring club, was a basketball Shoot-a-Thon that had an outstanding turnout of students and faculty. The Middle School fundraiser raised $3681 to aid UNICEF in the purchase and distribution of bed nets to fight malaria in Africa. The students and faculty in Syosset would like to thank UNICEF for their help and for all the great work that they do.
