Maggie-Mae's Halloween Party

Hosting a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Halloween Party is an exciting and fun way to educate and fundraise on behalf of UNICEF during the Halloween season. Kat and her daughter, Maggie-Mae are witnesses of such an amazing event when Maggie-Mae, who is almost 9 years old, came up with the idea and invited eight of her closest friends to join in the fun! "It was an opportunity for me to explain to the girls what UNICEF does and how they were really helping!" says, Kat.

Parents, neighbors, local shopkeepers and friends also joined in, providing decorations to enhance the partie's atmosphere as well as monetary donations, to benefit UNICEF. In addition, the resources and materials UNICEF provided all contributed to the overall success of the day.

On the day of the party the young girls, ages ranging from 5 through 10, showed up in their very creative costumes and played, danced and even had a costume contest.

"Thank you for giving our children a chance to make a difference in other children's lives. The photos are precious memories of service and community. It will definitely be an annual event in our household! Now the children have something really special to look forward to next October!" says Kat.

A NOTE ABOUT EVENTS

If you have a creative idea for a UNICEF fundraiser outside of the activities on the left, prior approval may be required. A signed and approved application for a fundraiser to benefit UNICEF form requires the organizer to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the use of UNICEF's name and logo, and financial guidelines about the event.

Examples of special events that may require an application for a fundraiser to benefit UNICEF include: parties with a large number of attendees where alcohol will be served, community events, concerts and other fundraising events where you are requesting that UNICEF's and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's logo and name will be formally associated.
