Educating a community about the obstacles that children face every day is a cornerstone of gathering support for UNICEF. As a volunteer you can raise awareness in your community about the global issues that are threatening children, and what UNICEF is doing to save children’s lives.

You can spread the word by hosting international dinners, screening topical videos, and speaking publicly about child survival issues. Many volunteers focus on the issues that matter to them most, like education, AIDS, immunization, or war. Or you can highlight the most urgent topics affecting children today. The better we understand the struggles that children face, the more we can do to help them.
